Celebrate Your Love Story At The Mercantile Hall Wedding Venue

When you’re planning your city wedding, you want a place that masters the urban vibe without brushing you off with a big-city attitude. This is exactly why Mercantile Hall was founded. This positively stunning wedding venue loves to provide its clients with a small-town experience without compromising on the modern industrial feel. As a Milwaukee wedding photographer, I have been lucky enough to document some pretty incredible celebrations. Here’s what you can expect from a Mercantile Hall wedding

About The Mercantile Hall Wedding Venue

425 N. Pine Street, Burlington, Wisconsin 53105

Located in the charming town of Burlington, Mercantile Hall has spent the past 6 years crafting unforgettable wedding experiences. The venue is located in a historic building that features exposed bricks and iron details that will shine through your portraits. This inclusive venue is passionate about telling every love story. They take the time to get to know you so they can help you throw your perfect celebration. Since 2019, the venue has consistently won awards thanks to its dedication as well as its impeccable atmosphere. With Mercantile Hall, you will have a gorgeous wedding where you feel honored through every second.

Details of the Grounds

With Mercantile Hall, you will have everything you need for your event right on the premises. There are two dressing suites inside the building so you and your partner will have separate spaces to get ready ahead of the ceremony. You will have plenty of space to break out a bottle of bubbly and raise a toast with your party. This space is ideal for taking candid pictures before it’s time for the ceremony to begin.

Most couples choose to have their ceremony in the Urb Garden. This space is absolutely lovely, with the building serving as a barrier on one side and brick fences around the others. A custom-made iron gate will add a feeling of privacy from the streets around you. The venue has a wooden pergola that provides some shade to your guests, and bistro lights sparkle above as the sun goes down. The area is urban and sophisticated. While it shines on its own, you will be able to add flowers and other decorations to elevate it.

If you don’t feel like dealing with an outdoor Wisconsin wedding in the middle of winter, never fear! The interior of Mercantile Hall continues to deliver the same industrial vibe. There is light brick covering the high walls, and wooden chandeliers dangle from the wooden beams of the ceiling. A black chair rail runs across the bottom of the wall, adding the perfect contrast to the pale brickwork. The venue will let you set up their vintage furniture so your guests can have a lounge area following your ceremony. This room is ready to accommodate up to 220 guests.

A Camper Bar Makes The Perfect Cocktail Hour At Your Mercantile Hall Wedding

If you are looking for something unique for your cocktail hour, you are going to positively love the Suesanna Camper Bar! This adorable camper has been renovated with bright white paint and will add some vintage charm to your day. The window opens up, and your guests can come by and order drinks that they can then enjoy in the Urb Garden. The bar is always present in the area, and as long as the weather is good, the drinks will be flowing! You can even stop by for a nightcap once your reception is over.

Speaking of your reception, you can hold this part of the evening inside Mercantile Hall. The venue will set up round tables as well as farmhouse-style tables according to your vision, and you will have plenty of room to dance once dinner is over. The venue purposefully left the color palette neutral, so you will be able to add your decorations without worrying about clashing. There are floor-to-ceiling windows throughout that will let the sunlight stream in until the early evening. There is also an exhibition-style kitchen for your dinner.

Photography Opportunities

With Mercantile Hall, you will definitely want to head out to the streets of Burlington for your pictures! While the downtown is positively picturesque, the area remains pretty quiet. The small-town vibes will ensure you can spend plenty of time on these pictures without getting caught up in the bustle of the big city. As far as your individual portraits go, the vintage furniture against the bricks of Mercantile Hall makes for a great photo op! You can also head out to the Urb Garden for naturally-lit pictures.
