As a Milwaukee wedding photographer, I have been lucky enough to get a backstage look at all the best venues in the city. Here’s everything you need to know about your Twelve29 wedding!
19967 W. Main Street, Lannon, Wisconsin 53046
Twelve29 is an event space that knows how to tell a good love story! The venue was founded by Chris and Sara. The two met early in their careers as they managed events. Before long, they realized this was a match made in heaven! They tied the knot on December 29. When they decided they wanted to branch out and create their very own wedding venue, they paid honor to the date by naming the space after their own anniversary. The two bring 40 combined years of event management to each celebration. Their goal is to provide you with a stunning and modern space where you can tie the knot! Since opening their venue in 2019, the pair has frequently been named the best venue by both WeddingWire and The Knot.
When I say Twelve29 knows how to throw a seamless event, I mean it! With this venue, your rental will begin at 10 AM, and every part of your day can take place on the grounds. The morning of your celebration, you will arrive and head over to the bridal suite, which will have a bright and airy space where you can get ready for your day. This space is equipped with salon chairs and vanities where you can gather with your besties and sip champagne while putting together your look. There is an additional get-ready suite where your partner can gather with their wedding party.
Once it is time for your Twelve29 ceremony, you will head into the main event space. This room has been constructed to stay on top of the trends while still providing you with a timeless space. The room has a rustic yet industrial feel. The high ceilings feature light wooden rafters that run across the room, and a white industrial pipe runs across the back. White lights inside wooden globes illuminate the space. The floors are finished in polished concrete. They look phenomenal on their own, and you can add a bohemian feel with the right aisle runner.
To the side, you will have an accent wall with thin strips of wood arranged in various lengths, adding warmth and texture to the bright space. Wooden shelves run across the opposite wall, giving you a spot that you can dress up with your flowers of choice. At the front of the room, the wall has been outfitted with a greenery feature framed with wood. You are more than welcome to use this as your backdrop, or you can add some drapery and dress it up as you see fit.
Once the ceremony is over, your guests will head to the bar area, where they can choose from a variety of premium beverages. This space stays true to the theme with white walls and matching lights. The built-in, L-shaped bar is covered with a wood top, and the exterior features the same wooden strips as the accent wall. This space will be available all night, so the party can keep going!
The same room that you used for your ceremony will be available for your reception. The open floor plan will ensure your party can spread out and have plenty of room once it’s time to head out to the dance floor. You will be able to layout your tables however you would like. The venue is highly customizable, offering you enough space for up to 250 guests with the potential to close off areas to make the room feel more intimate.
With Twelve29, the accent wall makes for one of the best backdrops. As you get ready in the bridal suite, you will be able to snap candid pictures getting ready with your party. Then, you can head out and stand in front of the accent wall for individual pictures. Once it’s time to take pictures with your partner, you will also be able to use this spot. The green wall is another ideal spot for these pics. The building itself is near several busy roads, but there are green spaces where you can head out and get pictures with wild foliage behind you. You can also use the mid-century stonework on the exterior for your group photos. My personal favorite though, is to jump in a car and head over to Menomonee Park for some beautiful backdrops just five minutes away!
With Twelve29, you are going to have the freedom to create your perfect day! The venue has year-round, daily availability. For weddings on Saturdays in May through October, they do require a minimum of 125 guests. Outside of their peak season, you don’t have to meet a number to rent out the space. They give you the ability to bring in outside vendors and will let you BYOB if you would prefer. Don’t worry, though. The venue will still supply the bartenders! Your caterer will have access to the on-site prep kitchen, and you will be able to use the venue’s tables, chairs, and the in-house sound system. Your rental will be for a full day starting at 10 AM. The venue has limited on-site parking and is wheelchair accessible.
With Twelve29, you will have an airy and modern space for your wedding. If you think this is the spot for you, be sure to schedule your tour so you can see it in person.
