About The Factory On Barclay Wedding Venue

1120 S. Barclay St,. Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53204

The Factory on Barclay was created to give visitors the feeling of classic Milwaukee. This venue is located in the heart of the Harbor District of Milwaukee’s Historic Walker’s Point. The surrounding neighborhood is an eclectic space with favorite spots, including microbreweries and some of the best restaurants in town! The building itself is a 1909 historical landmark that once served as the A.P. Green Refractory Center. The venue offers all the original charm while giving you all the modern amenities you could need for your wedding. No matter what you have in mind for your wedding day, The Factory on Barclay has something for you!

Details of the Grounds

With The Factory on Barclay, you are going to have full use of this building’s 7,800 square feet.  Here, you are going to be able to host every aspect of your wedding day. Before your wedding begins, you will have access to the Private Bridal Suite located on the second floor of the building. This large area offers makeup chairs and mirrors so you can put on all the finishing touches. It also has a private bathroom and a kitchenette. You will have plenty of room to wait with your bridal party before the ceremony actually begins.

For your service, you will have multiple options for your primary location. Most large weddings take place in the Main Factory. This space has 3,500 square feet that you can arrange however you’d like. The room is over two stories high with windows throughout that invite natural light to stream in. The walls are completely brick, and the ceiling is wooden with industrial exposed beams. The chandeliers throughout add an elevated charm. If you do decide to move straight into your cocktail hour, you will be able to use the built-in bar on the side of the room. The Main Factory can also easily be converted into a reception space. With this option, your guests will have plenty of space to walk around and mingle before it’s time to head over to the dance floor! The room will accommodate 100-300 guests.

Even More Spaces For Your Factory On Barclay Wedding

The other primary option for your ceremony is The Warehouse. This space comes in at 2,800 square feet and offers you an open area that you can transform into your own. This room has exposed brick walls with white cathedral ceilings and polished floors. There are black industrial beams, and a statement iron chandelier illuminates the area. Just like with The Main Factory, this area has a built-in bar with local beer on tap, so your event can effortlessly shift into the cocktail hour. You can host up to 100 guests in this space, making it the ideal option for intimate micro-weddings

If you would like to have a specially designated spot for your cocktail hour, you can use The Mezzanine. This area will let your guests get a bird’s eye view of all the action happening just below. Your guests will have an upscale spot where they can order custom cocktails until it’s time for the next portion of the day to begin. The Mezzanine will accommodate up to 75 guests.

Photography Opportunities

With The Factory on Barclay, the exterior of the building is going to be one of the best spots to get both individual and couple portraits. The brickwork of the outside will serve as a simple backdrop for portraits where you want to be the star of the show! There is an iconic painted sign on the exterior of the building that you can also incorporate into the pictures. This way, you can show off your wedding venue in all of its glory. The get-ready room is chic and well-lit, making it a great spot to get candid pictures as you prepare with your wedding party. If you are up for a little adventure, you can walk down to the rest of the Harbor District to get portraits that showcase the heart of Milwaukee.
